Studies show that Gen. Y workers hope to positively impact society more than previous generations.

Approximately two-thirds of people surveyed, ages 18 to 26, favor employers that allow them to provide nonprofit organizations with their talents.

Only 26 percent of survey respondents said that volunteerism was discussed during the hiring process.
