2011 - 2012 Recipient

HRworks will donate $1,000 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).  The winning entry was submitted by Celeste Burr from Coca-Cola Refreshments USA, Inc. in Atlanta, GA.

When Celeste isn’t working at Coca-Cola, she is regularly seen cycling around Atlanta and the Southeast supporting good causes as part of the Coca-Cola Cycling Club.  This year, Celeste has much bigger plans than Atlanta. She is conquering America as part of the Georgia Chain Gang crew.  The Georgia Chain Gang is not a typical chain gang.  Their chain is on their bicycle, not their ankle.

The Georgia Chain Gang is back racing in the 2012 Race Across AMerica (RAAM). The Georgia Chain Gang finished the 3,000 mile RAAM cycling event in 2010 crossing the finish line in with a time of 7 days 9 hours 37 minutes!  This year the gang has doubled in size and is entering the 2012 race with eight cyclists and shooting to shatter that incredible time.

HRworks is proud to donate $1,000 to support the team.  They race to raise funds for Leukemia & Lymphoma through Team In Training. If you are interested in supporting the Georgia Chain Gang and their efforts to cure blood cancer you can contribute by donating online.

Good luck Celeste and we’ll be following the Georgia Chain Gang as they cycle across the United States of America.
