
Each year HRworks encourages individuals to participate in the CHARITYworks Charity Challenge. The Charity Challenge is a drawing in which individuals can participate in by submitting the name of their favorite charitable cause for it's chance to receive a $1,000 donation. Individuals begin submitting their entries for the Charity Challenge in December and entries are accepted through midnight of January 31. A winner is then randomly drawn and announced on or around February 4th.

We are proud to announce the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, submitted by Kendra Feldman of Burberry, as the recipient of the $1000 donation to further their dedication to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services.
The winning entry, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization. The LLS's mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. HRworks is pleased to announce Justine Staub's charity was selected for the winter 2008 Charity Challenge.
Justine submitted the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania (UWSEPA). The mission of the UWSEPA is to improve people's lives by mobilizing the caring power of donors, volunteers and communities. The UWSEPA was established originally as the Welfare Federation of Philadelphia in 1921. United Way stands today as one of the most exceptional channels for individuals and corporations to make an impact on local, health, education, and social service needs.
HRworks is proud to donate $1000 in Justine's name to further the UWSEPA's commitment to communities by providing tools, services, and expertise that can enable the communities to become stronger and more independent.
HRworks is pleased to announce Denise Broz from McDonald's Corporation as the winner of the Charity Challenge. The HRworks Charity Challenge gave people the opportunity to explain how they were helping in their community to earn the chance to win a $1,000 donation to the charity of their choice. Denise was randomly selected and will receive a $1,000 check for the charity of her choice.

Denise led a team within the McDonald's Corporation that organized a month of various community service events involving both employees and their children. Throughout the month of service, over 100 employees and 80 family members volunteered for over 1,000 hours of service in the Chicago community. The month benefited a number of charities, including the Chicagoland Ronald McDonald Houses, Lamb's Fold Women's Shelter, the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Bethesda Home and Retirement Center, and Humanitarian Service Project.
CHARITYworks has been recognized by the Metro Atlanta Corporate Volunteer Council (MACVC) and is the recipient of a 2007 IMPACT (Involvement Means People Acting Together) award in the category of Innovative/Collaborative Program.
Additionally, due to the company’s strong community commitment, Kurt Ronn was asked to serve on the 2007 Selection Committee for the MACVC’s non-profit grants.
HRworks was honored by the MACVC with the 2006 Project Award for its work with the Ronald McDonald House’s Pop Tabs program.
For this project, HRworks donated more than 25 pounds of aluminum tabs to the charity. RMH recycled the tabs to fund its operations. Read more about MACVC’s Impact Awards.
