Project Manager / Military Recruitment
As project manager, Sykes manages recruiters and acts as a single point of contact for clients during recruitment initiatives. As the manager of military recruitment, Sykes establishes military contacts and builds relationships with networking organizations. Sykes has led teams of more than 20 recruiters to recruit 10 waves of candidates for a store leadership program for a top client. Her recruiters have presented more than 3,000 interested and qualified candidates, 1,500 of whom received offers. Additionally, Sykes has successfully developed a military recruitment program by establishing relationships with more than 100 transition offices across the entire military spectrum. Sykes' military and large-scale recruitment expertise has helped position clients at the forefront of military recruitment. Sykes has over 20 years of active military experience in the United States Marine Corps. Six of her years in the Marines were spent as a recruiting instructor, where she was responsible for training more than 60 recruiters. She has a total of 15 years of experience in human resources positions. Sykes joined the team at HRworks in 2002 as a recruiter and was quickly promoted to project manager within six months. Sykes earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in administration from Saint Leo University in Florida. Sykes is an active member of the Marine Executive Association, the Montford Point Marine Association and the Women Marines Association.
